Profile Information

What achievements have you made in helping others?
I have founded and operated a non-profit organization called "American Family Alliance," a child abuse prevention organization.
What do you consider to be important traits in helping others?
The most important trait in helping others is the ability to respect those you are serving. Having empathy is another important trait as well as being able to listen with patience. Unconditional love is the greatest trait one can give to another.
What do you consider to be today's greatest issue that is in need of attention?
The greatest issue is the fear of getting involved. Laws and conditions have become so restrictive, the average person feels threatened of reprecussions to the point of seeing something untoward happening and is too fraid to provide assistance.
Would you like to contribute a possible solution to this issue? If yes, please explain.
We must be willing to support those who, despite the challenges, will intervene to help another. We should not turn our backs and look away when we or another can offer help but is afraid to lend it.
Tell us about yourself...
I am a 65 year old great-grandmother who is reinventing herself. I am going into business selling my rag dolls who are characters in a series of children's books I have written. I love the wonder of life, and the people in it. I have a three-prong mission: 1: to help my family; 2: to help others who want to go into business; and 3: to support organizations which provide service to children and their families.
Favorite book, author, quote...
"Weeping endures for the night, but joy comes in the morning"...but some people never realize when the morning has come."
