Profile Information

What achievements have you made in helping others?
Create a lasting legacy of positive momentum to develop changes in social responsibility. To take what I have learned to help and teach others. To have an open mind and explore all that life has to offer.

My intentions are to change my life and find ways to change the world in which I live. To discover how to use developed talents and energy to advance deeply meaningful changes -- to be defiant when applicable and refuse to accept the status quo. For one cannot simply sit still in the face of injustice, suffering or wastefulness. To become an innovator and advance new models to solve social and economic problems -- and to make headway against the odds. Full of hope, energy, and pragmatic solutions. Seek to understand the fast growing field of "social entrepreneurship" and discover opportunities to enrich the life of others. Successfully demonstrate that one person with initiative and the courage to try out a new idea, along with a determination to seek out and connect with other changemakers, can advance changes that improve lives and unleash the potential of others.
What do you consider to be important traits in helping others?
Open mind, strength, energy, harmony, determination and compassion.
What do you consider to be today's greatest issue that is in need of attention?
Mankind's inability to step-back and absorb the moment. For if "they" did, they might open their eyes to see what lies before them in regard to opportunity, harmony, beauty, grace, culture and blessings. There is too much fear (either imagined or real) that holds humanity back.
Would you like to contribute a possible solution to this issue? If yes, please explain.
Education on the laws of cause and effect and the laws of attraction.

Thank you for the warm welcome, David. You are a point of light..... a real one, not of the sort George Bush senior was referring to. :-)

Your friendship is appreciated. If I may be of service to you, let me know.

If at any time you would like to add a forum at my site, let me know and I'll set up a dedicated discussion group for you. I've never set up a webpage before last week, so it's on the job training. Eventually I'll get a handle on it, and do some embellishing. :-)

Peace

The POWER of ONE

One song can spark a moment
One flower can wake the dream
One tree can start a forest
One bird can herald spring

One smile begins a friendship
One handclasp lifts a soul
One star can guide a ship at sea
One word can frame the goal

One vote can change a nation

Altruism

Altruism, interesting word, interesting concept...Altruism is derived from the Latin word "alteri" or "the others." Also, meaning unselfish attention to the needs of others.

Altruism can be found throughout religious beliefs:
Christian - “you shall love your neighbor as yourself”
Muslim - “none of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself”
Buddhism - “seeking for others the happiness one desires for oneself.”

Altruism can also be seen as selfish; motivations… Continue
